My God is Awesome!

I have to give yet some more shout outs to my God is blows me away!  I'm telling you, nothing would be possible with out Him!  I cannot give credit to anyone except Him, and I'm truly humbled.  This journey thus far has been one of the most emotional rides I have ever been on!  I am so thankful to be going down this path and praise God for giving us so many wonderful things to be excited about!  Today, I got a call from one of our brides.  She surprised me by saying she had some things to donate for our yard sale.  When I got back to the studio to meet her, she and her parent's had two car loads full of items/donations!  I was nearly in tears as we continued to unload box after box.  I have never seen such a generous amount of support from people in my life.  I am truly greatful to each of you who have prayed for us, donated to our cause and just been there for support & encouragement!  You will never really know how eternally thankful I am for all of you!  Plus, I got a call from my Aunt Katie saying she and my uncle were coming up to help us!  Wahoo!  They are a blast to be around and I know we're all going to have such a great time!

We are calling our yard sale, The Mega Sale.  Its been listed on the events pages of WisTV.com, WMHK.com, and Craigslist.com.  We also plan to have it listed in the State Paper the week before the sale date.  Not to mention all of you who are helping us advertise the sale!  We definitely have so many wonderful items, but that doesn't mean we don't still need your help!  We are still taking donations, no matter what it is, we're happy to take it off your hands.  So, if you have things you'd like to donate, you can send me an email at richardandbrantley@yahoo.com, and we'll even be happy to pick it up from you.

Again, thank you for all of your support and generosity!  We're so excited to see what God has in store for us!  T-Shirts are also selling out quickly and we're going to be making a second order soon.  The first shipment hasn't even come in yet and we've pretty much sold out of those.  So, if you'd like one, they are $17 and 100% of the profits will go towards are adoption fund.  And lastly, don't forget about our galleries of prints from the Carolina Flag proudly waiving over the State House, as well as misc prints that we have for sale.  Those profits will also go towards our adoption fund.  Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Until then, Brantley

1 Week, Plus Updates!

Wahoooooo!  Exactly 1 week until our orientation!  I know all of you reading will be glad when that day comes, and most likely not for the same reasons as me.  But that's okay.  I'm sure everything is tired of me giving the daily countdown for the last several weeks!  haha  But, its almost here and I'll try and refrain from going crazy this last week!  I'm just so stinkin excited for this day to finally get here so we can get this ball rolling!  Along with that, I have some updates on some of our many projects Richard and I have been working on.  The 1st one is the quilt we made for our baby.  Although it doesn't look entirely different from the last posts, it is now finished with the backing and all.  We decided to keep it the same size that is already was.  We sewed up three sides and will put a zipper on the 4th side.  I'm hoping to get with one of my best friend's mom soon and possibly get her to embroider some special things on one of two of the squares for me.  Just to personalize it more.  :)  (hint: the reason why the zipper will be there)

So, here are some finished shots.  We used a soft baby fabric for the backing and I LOVE LOVE LOVE how it turned out!  Can't wait to get it personalized more over the next several months.
Do you like it???

Also, I'm sure many of you have been eagerly awaiting a post about a giveaway!  As promised, I thought was going to have one this week, but no one has offered anything for the giveaway.  I can't give everything away by myself.  :(  So, if you or anyone you know may have something they would like to donate from a business or a project they have been working on, let me know.  We will give full credit on our blog, facebook page and include all necessary links.  Its all in fun and we enjoy giving stuff away.

Also, many of you have been asking about our T-Shirts.  The shirts are scheduled to be in and ready for me to pick up on July 6th!  Next week everyone!  I'm so excited to see those.  Remember, everything we sell on this blog - 100% will go towards our adoption fund.  This is why we are constantly adding new things to sell.  (i.e.  Prints, Photography, T-Shirts, etc)

And lastly, I completely forgot to include the finished product shots of our dresser.  It was fine before... but didn't go with our crib.  Remember, we bought this beautiful piece of furniture on clearance from WalMart for $75 (it was being discontinued).  And, it is real wood, not that fake stuff!  Nice and heavy duty! It is really a buffet, but will work perfectly for our dresser/changing table in Baby Freeman's room.  You might remember what it looked like before, but just in case, here are the before & after pics!
Do you LOVE it????  I know we do!  Its so much more crisp and clean looking to us!  I LOVE it!  Also, I know the walls are painted blue.  They actually have been for quite some time.  Since we won't be selecting a gender for our baby, we figured we would leave them blue until we got placed.  This way, if it is a boy, then at least we won't need to paint.  If it is a girl, we will go paint shopping!  :)

So, those are my updates for today!  Hope everyone had a WONDERFUL week!  Happy 4th everyone!!!

Until then, Brantley

T-Shirts Anyone?

Yes, you read that right, we have T-Shirts!!!  :)  We're so excited after placing a large order this afternoon.  The shirts won't be in for another 2 weeks, but they're going to look great!  They will be simple white t-shirts with our "For this Journey We're On" logo on the front, right side.  And the scripture, John 14:18 - We will not leave you as orphans, we will come to you - on the back!  :)  The shirts are the nice "heavy duty" t-shirts, not the cheap, thin shirts.  Pics to come as soon as they come in.  If you're interested, we'd love to get you one!  Just send us an email and we will get you more information.

Shirts are $17, and all of the profits will be added to our adoption fund!
Small, Medium and Large Sizes Available!

Until then, Brantley
