Saturday Struggles

Today is Saturday, and although I'm extremely thankful to have most of today off, I'm struggling a little.  After hearing about Meg & Joe's adoption status and finding out that the birthmother has backed out right at the end - well its hard.  Its not even my "problem" but it almost feels that way.  It feels in part, a little too close to home.  One of our biggest fears is just that.  I know its just apart of this and there is always that possibility, but I don't think it completely prepares you for it.  My prayer today is for the birthmothers.  For their birthmother, for our future birthmother and for all of them!  I can't begin to imagine the struggles they experience every day that they carry their baby.  Even more, in the days leading up to the birth.  I'm sure they go back and forth feeling guilt, anguish and just emptiness as they prepare to give their child away.

Please pray for Joe and Meg as they go from being expectant parents in only a matter of days, to now starting the waiting process all over again.  I'm sure its hard, but I bet they're being strong knowing that God has His timing all planned out.  Now with all of this being said, on a little brighter note...

Our blog got a new look, what do you think???  We love how it turned out and are thrilled with having a more simple look!  Plus, everything is a little more organized, which is the way I like it!  :)  We are also painting the dresser/changing table today.  Slowly but surely, its coming along.  We're having fun doing these little things together and putting our personal touch on the nursery.  Plenty more to come over the next several months, but for now, just little things here and there.  :)

Until then, Brantley

Aww thank you Andrea! We're so excited too! There are some things that scare us, but overall, I couldn't be anymore thrilled than we are right now!

Brantley and Richard-We are praying for you as you travel this journey together. We know God has a precious little waiting for you. For following God's will for your life in this, He will greatly bless you. We can't wait to meet him/her! Daisy Path has some cute timelines for adoption.
