Homestudy Updates!

Wahoo!  Richard and I each had our individual meetings with our social worker this morning.  Mine was at 9:00am, and his was at 11:30am.  I was so excited about today's meeting and curious what all would take place.  It went really well and I feel so extremely blessed to have our social worker!  She is very thorough, detail oriented and caring!  All of the qualities we prayed for!  :)  So, while in my meeting this morning, we went ahead and scheduled our last part of the homestudy... the home visit!!!  Next Tuesday she will come into our home and look things over.  We will have our last meeting at that time, then she will begin writing everything up for the final paperwork!  Once completed... let the "waiting" begin!  

We're soooooo excited to be at this place in our journey!  Lately, we've been so nervous and excited all at once.  Its been really great and an incredible journey so far!  Can't wait to keep you all posted over the next few months!

One week till Training Day!

Yay!  Let the countdown begin... AGAIN!  This time, we're counting down to our Training Day with Bethany Christian Services next Friday.  This training day is an all day "class".  We will hear from a birth mom about her experiences, some other adoptive families, have lunch and go over all of the logistics and details on what to expect from here on out!  Craziness!  I'm so excited!

So, this time next Friday, Richard and I will be wrapping up our training day class.  We hope to meet our social worker at that time too [hopefully].  Speaking of that, we should be assigned our social worker any day now.  Wahoo!  These past few days we have been praying for our social worker.  Praying that we will have someone who will be good with our personalities, and someone who will be easy to work with.  Its strange, but all along I have been praying for our baby and birth mom, but never our social worker until now.  I guess because things are starting to feel more and more real...

Well, we can't wait to fill you in on everything!  Oh and last thing...

We got in our last shipment of T-Shirts!  ALL Smalls!  So, if you've been wanting to order a t-shirt, please let us know.  We're hoping we can sell everything that is left soon.  :)

2 Weeks from TODAY!

Okay, first thing I wanted to point out.... there has been quite a bit confusion on our yard sale date.  A TON of people have called saying they won't be able to make it tomorrow, or where should we meet tomorrow, etc.  The yard sale is not tomorrow... (to be honest, not entirely sure why everyone thinks its tomorrow).  Its JULY 31st!  We are sooo thankful for the support, just hope people remember that it hasn't passed yet... we're praying for God to show up and show out (as my cousin Katelyn says)!  :)  So, hopefully that will clear things up.

Now... for some more exciting news (at least to me anyway).  We have exactly 2 weeks from today for our adoption orientation!  We're sooooooooooo excited and ready to get the ball moving.  For those of you who are new to reading my blog... the orientation is a mandatory orientation with Bethany.  We will find out all of the details needed to move forward with our journey.  We already know that this is where God has us, but unfortunately, we cannot move forward until we attend the July 9th orientation.  Needless to say, we're stoked!  Please continue to pray for us over the next few weeks as we anxiously await this.  Please continue to pray for the mother of our future baby, as well as our baby.  We will keep you posted as things progress, so no worries there!

Lastly, I wanted to share some pics of my babies for your weekend!  I brought them to the studio today for "Bring Your Pet to Work Day", which was sponsored by Project Pet.  We were excited when we got an email from Natasha about it a few weeks back.  We had adopted Lexie (our beagle mix) from them this past December.  So, it was great to participate!  Here are some pics I took of them today!  :)
