Bottles?

Alright all you moms and pops out there!  I'm looking for some reviews and/or recommendations on bottles!  I am having trouble figuring out what would be best to start out when our baby arrives.  Dr. Browns seems to be the popular choice, especially with reducing colic.  However... I wonder if all of the parts are worth the hype?  Any thoughts or recommendations?  Please leave comments!  :)

Until then, Brantley

Evenflo are good, and from our experiance the Dr. Brown's are not worth the hype.

We are using playtex drop-ins. They are great! Especially when we went to pick our baby up and had to stay in a hotel for 4 days. Less parts to wash. Also, start your baby out on room temperature bottles. Then you will never have to worry about heating a bottle.

I have heard of many people who buy Dr. Brown's and then drop them because there are to many parts. We used Avent bottles and so have many of my friends. I feel that they are a wonderful purchase!

I couldn't agree more with Katie. Drop Ins were a lifesaver during our hotel stay after we picked our son up. Due to paperwork delays, we spent 8 days in a Hilton, waiting for permission to bring our little man across the state line. The drop in system and the Medela Sterilization bags for the microwave were lifelines for us.

We were given a bunch of Dr. Brown's bottles by a friend who used them with her child for a while. She used them because the baby had really bad reflux and it seemed to help. However, if that hadn't been the case, she told us she wouldn't have used them bc of all the parts.

I also agree with Katie. We started the drop-ins because they were the easiest for Cole to hold by himself (when he got to that age) and they're SO convenient. I also am a huge believer in not warming the bottle. Haha, I may have just been lazy but it makes it so much easier when you have to feed him in the car or on the run. And there is no health benefit in warm milk, so I don't feel guilty :)

You might want to get a few of each kind so that you can find "just" the right type for Baby Freeman. But in most cases, the Playtex drop-ins help reduce extra air in the bottle.

Good luck!
