Its Friday! Thank goodness! I am so ready for a nice long weekend of relaxing! For the first weekend in many many weeks, we have nothing to commit to! No weddings, no sessions, NOTHING! As thankful as I am for the business, I must say, there is nothing better than having some time off! Especially on a long weekend when everyone else will be grilling out, going on vacation, etc.
We don't have a lot planned, but I'm okay with that. We are planning to spend all of Saturday shopping around for old furniture. We love searching some of the vintage and antique shops for hidden jewels! It so great when you find something that has really great bones, that you can then restore and make completely unique, and even current! So, we're going to search for a dresser that we can also use for a changing table, maybe a neat rug (possibly new), and whatever else we find that will work in Baby Freeman's nursery.
Then, Sunday we have church and Sunday afternoon we're off to spend it on the lake with Richard's family. I love the lake and I hope we will have a great weekend! Can I be candid and completely real with you? Hope so, because here I go.... I cannot begin to express how emotional this journey has already been for me. Since making this "public", we have received tons and tons of emails with the most encouraging words, people pouring out their love and support and even offering ideas for raising support for our adoption fund! God is truly amazing and is teaching us so much just in this short period of time. I am truly thankful. I'll admit though, we have also received some interesting and yes, some rude comments from people. To be honest, I expected that it was going to happen. No everyone gets it.
However, I am praying for strength and keeping my eye on this amazing journey that God is taking us on. Its going to be rocky at times, but I want so badly to praise him even when it is. And their will be times that are worthy of praise, and during those, I pray I will shout it out for all to hear!
Let Heaven and earth praise him, the seas and all that move in them. Psalm 69:34
So, for all of you who are and will be following our journey and praying for us daily, thank you so much for your support! It means more to use than you could possibly know. Happy Friday everyone!
Until then, Brantley
