Please PRAY!

Guys, this is it!  Its down to the last day before everything begins to come together!  I feel so incredibly blessed right now!  I can't even think or express my exact emotions either.  Its sort of crazy to be honest.

This scripture has been a piece of me today... Its my comfort for this weekend.

Philippians 4: 4-7

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Oh how I love this scripture!  It gives me so much comfort for what God has in store for us!  I cannot even believe the yard sale is finally here!  There has been so much preparation for something that is normally not a big deal.  But this yard sale is a HUGE deal and means so much to us.  We've had friends, family and people we don't even know who have poured out their hearts, given so generously and been the voices of encouragement that we so badly needed.  Its been such an amazing time of preparation and even act of worship for us.  I cannot begin to express how beautiful it feels to be on this journey that Christ has called us on.  Thank you to each of you who have played such a major role in our lives and this cause.

We need your prayers these next couple of days.  We need everyone to lift us up in your prayers as we finish preparing, sorting and organizing everything.  Lift us up with encouragement, because we all know we can never have too much of that.  Continue to pray that Christ will be glorified and that ALL will know the real reason that this has even come together.  I am a firm believer this would NEVER have been made possible without Him.  :)  What a comforting feeling that is to know.  Alright, well this is the last post before the Big weekend.  We have so much unloading to do and won't have too much time to post.  So, thank you again for everything!

Until then.... Brantley

Giveaways, Fingerprints & LOTS of Paperwork!

Yep, our adoption is full of ALL of the above!  First thing is first... today is the deadline to enter for the Apron Giveaway!  If you haven't already, please do!!  Again, it helps us spread the word about our adoption and raising support... and also puts something really cool in your hands (if you win) for FREE.  So, you really have no excuse not to register, right?

Also, we will be posting this next week's really cool giveaway which has been donated by Kitty Hurdle!  I promise, you will want it!  So, be sure to check back in at 5:00pm today to see the winner announced for the other giveaway and see what this week's new one will be!  Whew, long sentence!

Lastly, THANK YOU!!!  My email inbox was flooded yesterday afternoon almost immediately after making yesterday's post!  How awesome you guys are for stepping us and helping us out!  I saw that many of you have been helping us spread the word, which we're tremendously thankful for!  So, keep it up and thank you for your sweet encouraging words of encouragement!  Richard and I spent most of yesterday finishing up the last of our adoption paperwork, having our fingerprints made, making copies of medicals & taxes, etc.  Yeah, the list goes on and on.  The last thing we have to finish - we each have to have physicals at our doctor's office.  Yippee!! (lots of sarcasm there)
Alright... so remember to ENTER the giveaway, pray for our journey & spread the word about our yard sale on the 31st!!!  :)  Its almost here!  Thank you again everyone, we'll meet you back here at 5pm!

Until then, Brantley

Sale vs. Junk

In our opinions, there is no such thing as junk at this point.  At least not when it comes to our yard sale!  No matter what you have to donate, it is all worth at least .25!  :)  Hey, you'd be surprised how fast several .25 items can add up.  So, to answer all of the questions that continually come flooding in... here you go.

Q & A:

Q - What all do you have so far?
A - LOTS of Children's books, clothes, LOTS of toys, stuffed animals, bedding, beds, frames, large framed prints, paintings, furniture (entertainment units, beds, desks, end table, etc), TVs, home decor, household items, kitchen appliances, rugs (at least 3 or 4), blankets, mp3 players, baby bouncy seat, 2 basket ball goals, purses, adult clothes (women's and men's), games, teenage girl clothing & formal dresses, prom dresses, coats, lamps, mirrors, and even NEW items + Lemonade Stand!!!  (just to name a few!!)

Q - What do you still need?
A - We're still happy to accept anything you're willing to donate.  However, we have received a unreal amount of adult clothing.  We will still gladly accept them (whatever doesn't sell, we will donate to Goodwill), however, we really don't need anymore.  Hot Ticket Items: Furniture, Baby & Children's Clothing, Children's toys, etc.  Really, anything you are willing to donate!!!

Q - How do we donate?
A - Feel free to send us an email at richardandbrantley@yahoo.com or leave a comment with your email and/or phone number.  We will gladly contact you and arrange for your donations to be picked up.  We're trying our best to pick up as many donations as possible, this week!  Next week is already pretty crazy as we will be sorting through everything, starting to price and prepare for the sale!  After all, this sale has been in the works for the last 2 months!

Q - How can we help?
A - We need tables and tents to BORROW.  We can pick them up, or you can drop them off.  We will be at 701 Whaley Friday evening before the sale (on the 30th) to begin preparing!  So, let us know if you plan to come by and drop off a table or tent for us.

Q - When and Where is the Sale?
A - The sale will be on Saturday, July 31st at 7:00am - until Noon.  Will take place at 701 Whaley Street in downtown Columbia.  A pretty cool plus, the "All Local Farmer's Market" also meets at 701 on Saturdays!  So, we are hoping to get even more foot traffic from that!  :)

Again, thank you for help!  It means the world to us and we're sooo excited to have the support of so many!  We hope to see you there and appreciate you spreading the word!!!!  Remember all proceeds from this sale will go towards our adoption, which means, we will be one step closer to bringing our baby home!  And lastly... DON't FORGET to register to win the adorable apron!!!  Giveaway deadline is tomorrow (Tues) at 5:00pm!!!  Please remember to post about our yard sale on your own blog and/or facebook status!!!

Until then, Brantley & Richard
