My week started off not so great! I have been having problems with some tenderness in her my left "big" toe. Then... on Friday it started swelling! By Saturday I was in excruciating pain... to the point I couldn't stand it any longer, and cried the entire night! I can be a pretty emotional gal at times... but not because of things like this! I can honestly say I have NEVER experienced pain like this before. Monday came and I made an appointment to see our family doctor. He inspected it closely and couldn't find a reason for the swelling, or redness to it. It wasn't an ingrown toe nail... he knew that much. So... he called in for an x-ray, which I had done this morning. Nothing showed up, so he referred me to a foot doctor. I went there this afternoon.
Everything went well... they loaded me up on some even better pain meds than my family doctor gave me. They ordered yet another x-ray (go figure). Everything came back okay, but apparently I had some sort of infection that was getting into the bone! Talk about painful! Hope this never happens to you... I have been absolutely miserable! Thankfully, the meds are finally starting to work and I'm feeling good! The best part about all of this is that I am working from home this week! Which means... I get to spend unlimited time with my baby girl! She has been such a sweet girl through all of this. Just yesterday alone, we spent nearly 3 hours sitting in a waiting room... then another 45 minutes in the actual doctors office. She was such a sport and sat patiently in my lap! I was able to walk around a little with her to keep her entertained... we received so many compliments from patients who noticed how well she was doing. That made this momma so proud.
So... today I praise God for blessing me with this beautiful baby girl, a wonderful husband who has babied me like crazy in attempts to comfort me in any way he can. And also for a pretty awesome dad who has come with me to all of these doctors appointments and sat patiently with me. I haven't been able to drive because of the pain. Then with the meds they prescribed... I now can't drive even if I wanted to. So... me and my sweet girl will be stuck at home to love on one another!
Here are some sweet shots I grabbed of her the other day... I love her!
I love her sweet tush... and most of all... I LOVE that soft touch, tight hug and oohy gooey kiss she gives! She is so precious to me and I couldn't be more thankful to have her in my life!
More pics and updates to come soon... Until then... Brantley
