I fell in love with the most adoring man on earth a little over 4 years ago. He instantly made me smile, it took nothing to get me to laugh and he won me over in less than a week! (no lie!) His name is Richard and he is truely the man of my dreams, the father to my baby and my best friend in the whole world!
Here is my handsome man! Just to clear something up... he isn't a model, but I made him put up with me long enough to grab some shots of just him! :)
I was always picky when it came to guys. So many people would tell me if I didn't stop being so picky, I'd never fall in love. They were wrong... all of them. I am a HUGE believer that marriage is far too important to settle! He was EVERYTHING I always wanted in a man (except for height!). I got past that pretty quick though. I learned what it meant to love someone, and really love them. I married a strong man, a leader of this house, a man who stands up for us, who prays for us and with us, who loves the Lord first and foremost, who strives to provide on a daily basis and by far... the most hard working man I know! I love you Richard! And oh how we LOVE to flirt with each other - even now!
He's the daddy to these sweet babies! And before we had our own [real] baby... he spoiled the two rotten! What am I saying... he still does! ;)
Here we are just 5 days before our lives would completely change. I remember taking these quick pics, and how on the inside was so miserable, but putting on a smile nonetheless. One of the hardest Christmas' ever... but now, I am so thankful for the trials He laid before us. What a blessing! 5 days after Christmas, we received THE call that changed EVERYTHING!
He's a lover. When times got even harder just 4 weeks after bringing home our little piece of joy... we were tested by our faith yet again. Watching our baby girl experience things I wouldn't wish on anyone's child. But my husband stayed strong, he held this new family together. He comforted her, held her throughout the restless nights in the lonely hospital room. He is the best daddy to our little girl.
Not only did he melt my heart, but he has melted the heart of this little girl! She definitely has him wrapped around her little fingers!
So... the best husband a girl could ever ask for... thank you for being my best friend! Thank you for leading this household, and being a man of God! Thank you for supporting me, even on those days when I'm frazzled and not really worth loving. Thank you for putting up with my crazy emotional self. Thank you for loving me despite all of my flaws. But most of all, thank you for loving our baby girl! Thank you for being the best dad you know how to be. Thank you for being a role model to so many. Thank you for just being YOU! I love you so much!

We, as women & mothers, sometimes neglect to give our significant others the praise they deserve because we get all caught up in everything WE do.

Super cute. Just curious, how did you and Richard meet? I am always looking for new ideas. I have been told I am picky too, but still have not found a keeper!
