I have taken an interest in sewing this past year, and my husband bought me my first ever sewing machine for my birthday! I have had an absolute blast learning how to use it and making lots of fun things for Katherine Grace! I have no desire to make a business out of this... but have a HUGE desire to make lots of things for KG over the years! Today, I have been a busy bee sewing all sorts of goodies!
I sewed 2 burps clothes, two onesies and several other things I can't quite share with you! Don't worry though... those are coming soon! :)
For now... I will share with you this matching onesie and burp cloth! Not bad for a beginner... right?
Let me say... sewing on a onesie (especially a newborn size) is NOT easy!
I have only seen a tight zig zag stitch on appliques... but today I tried a wider stitch and I actually liked it a LOT! So... here you go!
I can't wait to continue making things, especially for the summer months! :)

I've been following your blog for some time now after clicking on it accidentally from Leigh's. First off, Katherine Grace is absolutely precious and I'm loving reading your updates - we're expecting a baby girl of our own any day now and it's fun to read about all the exciting things we have to look forward to! I just had to tell you that I LOVE your little sewing projects...if you ever DO decide to share your creations with others please let me know! That onesie is far too adorable and I am incredibly ungifted when it comes to sewing or anything artistic :)
