This issue of focus makes all the difference in life-- with the issues in our families, but also with the huge issues of world needs. I so want to be like Jesus who was always aware of what was on God the Father's heart and always available to act. Thank you for the call at act Brantley! Well done!Beth Templetonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00792834805646222374noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3169338736792936301.post-31196353169917703132011-08-06T08:21:49.550-07:002011-08-06T08:21:49.550-07:00I have a friend who works downtown with homeless p...I have a friend who works downtown with homeless people. He told me that the homeless in Columbia have the opportunity to get three free meals EVERYDAY! Even the homeless in our society have much more than the poor in the rest of the world. Just this week I read that 29,000 little children in Africa have died due to the famine. We don't realize how wealthy we truly are...and how selfish we truly are.thesandifershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16981867072923126539noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3169338736792936301.post-38238802509744473512011-08-04T16:56:12.852-07:002011-08-04T16:56:12.852-07:00Oh I just love your heart Brantley.Oh I just love your heart Brantley.Karinhttp://rockitblog.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3169338736792936301.post-81397529371156374002011-08-04T12:25:32.158-07:002011-08-04T12:25:32.158-07:00Great words...It’s so easy to get caught up in sel...Great words...It’s so easy to get caught up in selfishness. I heard someone say (don't remember where... some youtube sermon) that the scariest thing about so many of us in America is that we are SO rich and we don't even know it! I have said many of the same thing about being broke. While it's true that we live in a ministers salary and live paycheck to paycheck we are SO RICH! That I even have the option to buy groceries at the store each week, own TWO cars, and have "fun money" makes me filthy rich in comparison to the rest of the world. Our perspective in America is so tainted. We need to be humbled and broken. We need to care. We need to learn what it means to love others as we love ourselves...

Okay that was way longer than I intended... sorry!!!Laurenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13481930991215306755noreply@blogger.com
