Our Indescribable Gotcha Day!!!

Finally, we have our "Gotcha Day Video" ready!  I am so happy with the end result, although discouraged at the same time.  Even though pictures are my thing since we're photographers, I have grown to love the video aspect as well.  We purchased a video flip just before we got "the call" and we're so excited to document the many stages (meeting her for the 1st time, coming home with her, etc)... and unfortunately, that completely slipped our minds.  So... there is only one small video clip in our video at the very end.  Which... totally makes my day every time I see it!!!  :)

So... without anymore waiting... here is our story!

I want to thank my sweet sweet friend, Brooke Turner for capturing our day so perfectly!  She is a dear friend and photographer, whom I've grown so close to over the past year or so.  She wasn't able to be there the day we met her for the 1st time, but our social worker did manage to grab a few shots of us holding her.  But... she was there for the actual "Gotcha Day" which makes me even happier!  She met us at the hospital just after we signed the final paperwork with our social worker.  I am in awe of our pictures, and the emotions it brings back.  We cried for hours after looking through them, and reliving every moment again.  So, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your time, your energy and the personal touch you put into every image you took.

And lastly, thank you to everyone who has followed our journey!  Your prayers, support, encouragement and love have meant more to us than you will ever know!  I cannot express how much love we feel towards each of you.  This journey has been hard, exciting, joyful, and rewarding in more ways than one.  But I can honestly say, I would do this all over again to have learned the things we learned, and to hold this sweet baby girl in our arms.  We love her so much and are forever grateful to everyone for your support!  Enjoy!!!

Until then... Brantley, Richard and Katherine Grace

I don't know you and have never met you but stumbled upon your blog via Leigh's blog. I just wanted to say that YOUR daughter is absolutely beautiful and your story is just as beautiful. Praise God from whom all blessings flow. Brooke photographed my little boy about a year ago and I loved her from the first time I met her. What a privelege to have her as a close friend. I look forward to meeting you in person in a few months as you are photographing a wedding I am in. The video was amazing...to God be all the glory.

I've had several people email and ask where we got the Worth the Wait Onesie. We purchased it from Etsy.com - the seller is Rosylnscloset (look her up, she's super quick to ship and amazing quality on the onesie... nicest one I've found yet!) It was $16 and I got the NB size. However... she can easily where it until 3 months.

My heart is so full of happiness for you and Richard, and also PRAISES to Him who is able to do exceedingly, abundantly more than we ever dreamed.

Your story shouts His goodness, and I could not help but post the video on my facebook to encourage others...not only to remember that he counts the stars, knows them by name, and does SO much more for us! But also to celebrate with you.

In His Love,
Erin & Hunter

Brantley, this video brought tears to my eyes. What a beautiful God written love story of the indescribable encounter of meeting your daughter. God is so good! She is absolutely beautiful!! My husband and I are battling infertility due to my having Severe Endometriosis and we are praying God's will towards the possibility of adoption. We want more than anything to be a Mommy and a Daddy. God will take care of the rest, I know in my heart that He is faithful! For several months now we have been praying for Him to soften our hearts towards adoption if that is His will for us. Thank you for being such a beautiful reminder of God's love and faithfulness!

May God Bless You And Your Family!

Sincerely,
Amy
